dynamic flow yoga

with Kath Roberts

Open to all levels of experience, this class is a led dynamic flow class, with a strong focus on alignment. Kath's formal Iyenger training infuences her teaching in this class where she will spend time exploring postures that are not covered in the asthanga primary series.

hatha yoga

We currently have no hatha yoga classes running

Yoga is one of the world’s oldest spiritual traditions; using movement, breath and moments of stillness yoga brings us closer to an understanding of ourselves and the universe we inhabit. The classes begin with developing flexibility and strength before moving on to explore a different theme each week; backbends, forward bends, inverted postures, twists and balances. Knowledge and experience of the core principles of each of these movements will give you the confidence to develop your own practice safely.

Elements of a classical yoga practice are included in every class. As well as the postures, asana, we will also explore breathwork, pranayama, withdrawal of the senses, pratyahara, concentration, dharana and meditation, dhyana. The aim of the class is to enable students to develop their sense of inner awareness whilst in yoga postures and to move into an experience of yoga which goes beyond simple physical exercise.

These classes are ideal for beginners and for intermediate yogis of all ages. This class can be booked online using our usual credit system. If you do not have credit or are new to the centre, please email Rupert.
