ashtanga mysore/self practice

Classes daily (except Friday) - see schedule for times
Suitable for students who have attended beginners and/or intermediate classes and have adequate knowledge of the standing postures, or for those who have had experience practicing in a Mysore-style class. Students practice at their own speed and breath and the teacher focuses on specific needs within the practice, giving one-to-one tuition and adjustments. This allows individuals to progress and develop at their own pace. New postures are explored and added as students progress.

If your practice is longer than the allocated class time, please discuss the option of coming a little earlier/running over in to the next class with your teacher.

ashtanga intermediate/mysore

The intermediate/mysore level classes is for intermediate level students and self practitioners. The first half ot the class will be a led class geared to build stamina, and strength, with specific detail on alignment and breath control. The second half of the class will then move in to mysore-style/self practice where the teacher will focus on individual needs.


early morning

Primarily a mysore/self practice class ,the early-morning classes have a special, quiet and peaceful energy where students practice at their own speed and breath and the teacher has the opportunity to work individually with each student.


traditional counted class (Intermediate/advanced)

In this traditional counted class students are led in Sanskirt through the entire primary series. This style of teaching offers an invigorating and challenging practice with a strong group energy and a focus on the count and the breath. It is an ideal opportunity for those working in self practice to do an occassional led class which covers the whole primary series.
