Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Puglia, Italy

 

 

We will be running our next retreat at a beautiful, newly renovated eco-farm and resort in Puglia, Southern Italy. The charming 10-acre property is immersed in the natural beauty of the region and is just 20 minutes from the stunning crystal clear beaches and coastline that the area is famous for. The venue is 100% solar powered and includes a park with ancient trees, an organic vegetable garden, a swimming pool with sun loungers, a gazebo immersed in greenery, beautiful yoga rooms in the 19th-century farmhouse, an outdoor yoga location and treatment rooms (where shiatzu and ayurvedic treaments are available). The venue has been carefully designed and renovated to create a peaceful place in which to nurture physical health and spiritual growth.

The Sun Kitchen

The Sun Kitchen, is fully focused on healthy, balanced and organic food prepared by Matthew Kenney and Vito Cortese, international experts in Natural Cooking and Raw Food. Embracing the cardinal principles of the Slow Food philosophy, macrobiotics and Ayurveda, they offer a delicious, authentic menu. The dishes are almost exclusively prepared with ingredients from the gardens or zero km organic products that are at their peak freshest and always organic. Each meal will be served on a sun deck that overlooks the lands where the fruit and vegetables are lovingly cultivated. Brunch and dinner are served daily with the exception of one night when we dine out at a restaurant.

Yoga classes
The group will be divided in to Mysore practitioners and those at beginners or intermediate level who will benefit from a structured led class. There will be a class with Gingi for each group every morning. On alternate days there will also be an evening practice for everyone, which will encompass elements of meditation, pranayama and restorative yoga.

Rooms
Rooms are located around the large estate with a choice of:
• Superior: comfortable and bright rooms with private bath, air conditioning and adjustable heat. Available as a single, double and triple.
• Classic: double room (available as a double only) with a shared bath
• Standard: a lower budget option with a shared bathroom, which does not have air conditioning.

Local Transportation
For local transport to explore the area, there is a train station just 5-minutes walk from the centre.
