Classes & Workshops
Class Cancellation Policy
We operate a strict 24 hour cancellation policy for all our classes. For cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or if you do not turnup for your class, you will be charged the full class price. The Shala email booking confirmation details the date and time of the class for which you will be charged if you miss your class or cancel less than 24 hours prior to the class. All cancellations should be made via our website, not by phone or email.
Workshops & Courses Cancellation Policy
We will provide a full refund (less a 10% admin fee) for cancellations made more than 28 days before the start date of a course or workshop. For any other cancellations there will be no refunds or transfers unless your place can be filled from a waiting list, in which case we will refund the fee (less a 10% admin fee). If a course or workshop is cancelled you will be offered a refund or the option of being transferred to an alternative event. Once you have committed to a course or workshop, we recommend that you attend the scheduled number of sessions to get the most out of the programme.
Class Passes
Class passes run from the date of your first class. Extensions to the time limit of credit will be made only in special circumstances. Maximum 1 week. Requests should be made by email.
Classes & Workshops disclaimer
The decision to perform any form of exercise remains the individual's and the tutors cannot accept any responsibility for problems during or outside the retreat. If you are in any doubt as to your fitness, consult a GP beforehand.
Retreats
Payment
Payment of a deposit is required upon booking - no contract shall exist until an initial payment has been made. The payment schedule for each retreat is detailed on the website. Failure to comply with the payment schedule may result in the Shala excersising its right to cancel your booking(s) and to charge the applicable cancellation charges set out below.
When transferring money to our bank, please put your family name as reference and confirm by email that the transfer has been made.
Cancellation
Though our spaces are limited, we will endeavour to treat cancellations sympathetically. As such if a replacement booking is secured from a wait list, monies will be returned (minus an admin fee of 10% of the cost of the retreat). If a replacement is not found, deposit(s) paid according to the payment schedule will be retained. Cancellation of your booking, for whatever reason, should be notified to us in writing by email.
Insurance
We strongly recommend guests have travel insurance.

Costs include accommodation in a shared room (unless paying single occupancy supplement), brunch and dinner daily (unless otherwise specified) and all tuition. Flights, insurance, airport transfers and local trips are not included.
Retreats disclaimer
The Shala does not accept liability for theft or damage to personal possessions; personal injuries or medical conditions that develop during or after the retreat; or any costs, cancellations or changes incurred as a result of fire, natural disaster, war or threat of war, industrial action, technical problems with transport, airport closure or any other events beyond our control.
