Ashtanga - Led (Intermediate)
see schedule for times
This is a led class ideal for those who have done the beginners classes or workshops (or have had some experience of ashtanga). It is geared to build stamina, strength and memorisation of the ashtanga sequence. Specific detail to alignment and breath control will be emphasised. Students will be encouraged to deepen their understanding of the yoga preparing them for mysore-style/self practice classes. We recommend that students alternate intermediate and mysore/self practice classes as soon as they have memorized the sequence.
Ashtanga Led & Mysore
see schedule for times
The intermediate/mysore level classes is for intermediate level students and self practitioners. The first half ot the class will be a led class geared to build stamina, and strength, with specific detail on alignment and breath control. For the more advanced practitioners the class will then move in to mysore/self practice where the teacher will focus on individual needs.
Early Morning (All Levels)
see schedule for times
Primarily a mysore-style/self practice class, this class is open to all levels and provides a good opportunity for those at intermediate level to make the transition to mysore-style/self practice. The early-morning classes have a special, quiet and peaceful energy where students practice at their own speed and breath and the teacher works individually with each student on a one-to-one basis whatever their needs or level.
The class starts at 6.30am and students can arrive at any time during the session – the length of the practice varies according to each student.
