... a place of spiritual practice & healing

About the Shala
The Shala was established in 1998 as South London's first dedicated yoga centre. Originally called the Sangam, the centre was renamed the Shala in 2007 when it moved premises.
Gingi Lee and the Shala team of yoga teachers all share a deep love and respect for the yoga and have a passion for sharing their knowledge. They create a warm and supportive environment in which to enhance physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Shala classes are small with plenty of one-to-one guidance and an emphasis on encouraging students to develop an individual practice within the ashtanga form.
The centre is also a hub for new life with classes for pregnant women offered by the inspiring Ingrid Lewis and for mothers and baby's led by Orishemma Shombe and her baby Nia!
All our classes operate from our lovely, intimate and secluded studio hidden away in Clapham North. We are conveniently located just a minute's walk from Clapham North tube station and Clapham High Street overground. Note: we are located at the far end of the complex.
